A commission for a new gothic magazine called "Arcane Octane", about Edgar Poe. I was commissioned for 3 drawings; The subject of this first drawing was "reflection of Poe in the eye of a raven". I used shadows so we can see both the complete raven and its eye's close-up. I hope that Poe looks more or less like the real one :D

Pen & ink, washed ink on paper (22cm x 28cm).

Ooh, very nice:) I can't get over the way the raven's pupil is entirely replaced by Poe's face. The elongation of the clock is great too--Just wondering though, why did you just use black on the raven, instead of feathers?
Really like that alot, great concept fav+

the likeness of Poe is excellent and the prespective of this piece is awesome! it reminds me of the old Hitchcock films with the weird, crazy angles he was known for. very nicely done!

Oooh. Wow, I really like this. I'm a huge fan of Poe's works (best things ever to ready on a windy night when you're alone in the house) and...ooooh, this just fits "The Raven" so wonderfully in my head.

Great job, the perspective is great. Great job, really.
